Raised in the green mountains of Vermont, Katy Kirkpatrick finds inspiration in the natural surrounding landscapes. Her love for the outdoors and academic pursuits brought her to Williams College, where she graduated in 2013 with a B.A. in Architecture, and the Bruce Sanderson Prize in Architecture. After an intensive summer architecture program at Harvard, Katy started her career at Breadloaf Corp., an architecture firm in Middlebury, VT, where she gained experience on a variety of project types, from the UVM Alumni House, to the Town Offices for the Town of Middlebury. Her love for skiing and design soon led her to Telluride, CO, where she merged her appreciation of architecture with a keen eye for interiors.
Since 2015, she has focused her career on custom residential interior design in Colorado mountain towns. Katy has extensive experience working on a comprehensive project scale, including floor planning, interior architectural drawings, 3D modeling, custom detailing, finish selections, lighting and furniture procurement. Katy now splits her time between Colorado and Vermont - when away from the studio, you can find her skiing, biking, and spending time with friends and family in the mountains.
